University of Minnesota Physicians in Minneapolis is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Critical Care service. The role blends ICU duties with rapid-response coverage on the West Bank team, working with academic critical care physicians and experienced APPs across multiple units.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Minnesota or eligible for prescriptive authority.
• PA with MN prescriptive authority or eligible for certification.
• Certification through ANCC/AANP or NCCPA or eligible for those exams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaboration is essential.
• Patient-centered care with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient critical care in a hybrid ICU/rapid-response role.
• Lead and respond to Code Blue, Rapid Response, and Stroke Code events.
• Consult specialists and coordinate across ICU teams for appropriate patient care.
• Maintain clear, precise handoffs and documentation for oncoming teams.
