Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with at least one year of acute hospital experience preferred.
• Only licensed nurse experience in an acute care facility will be counted towards RN1 experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and plan nursing care with the treatment team.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as required by nursing judgment.
• Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the Charge RN/Clinician.
• Document patient/family teaching and ensure alignment with physician instructions.
• Collaborate with other staff and departments to support patient care.
• Participate in unit or hospital quality assurance activities.
