Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist - Critical Care SAC for the Akron City Campus. This full-time, 40-hour position on 2nd shift involves performing a wide range of laboratory procedures under supervision to support diagnosis and treatment.

The successful candidate will have a BS in a relevant field, ASCP/AMT certification or eligibility, and the ability to manage test workloads with professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Reads, understands and follows detailed laboratory procedures.
• Uses computers/applications used by the department.
• Completes a minimum of 12 continuing education credits per year.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of lab procedures under supervision to assist diagnosis and treatment.
• Prioritizes test requests and manages workload efficiently.
• Exhibits professional judgment as a Technical Consultant/Technical Supervisor when delegated.
