Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking an experienced ICU/critical care nurse to provide evidence-based care for critically ill patients. You will assess patients continuously, manage medications and infusions, and provide ventilator and hemodynamic support.

You will participate in codes and rapid responses, mentor newer staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while advancing quality and safety initiatives and infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
• Strong ICU/critical care assessment and monitoring skills.
• Proficiency with infusion, ventilator, and hemodynamic support.
• Ability to lead during urgent code/rapid response situations.
• Effective teamwork and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to quality, safety, infection prevention, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess patient condition and monitor vital parameters.
• Safely manage medications, infusions, and critical care therapies.
• Provide ventilator support and hemodynamic management.
• Respond to emergencies, including code events and rapid responses.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.
• Mentor and support newer nursing staff.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention practices.
