The position requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, NYS RN licensure, and current BCLS/ACLS certification, plus comfort with autonomous, high-pressure decision-making and float rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a Critical Care RN.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

• Proven experience working autonomously in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple patient assignments effectively.

• Flexibility to work different shifts and float to different specialties as needed.

Job Summary

As a Critical Care Float Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple world-renowned specialties to deliver hope and healing to patients from around the world in some of our most high acuity areas. This role supports the NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center Critical Care inpatient units including the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Step-Down Units, and more. Nurses in this dynamic role support the state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns by recovering post-Cesarean Section and post-procedural obstetrical patients in the PACU and by playing a critical role in maternal emergency response.
