Job summary

Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service is seeking a Transport Nurse to provide high-level nursing care during rotor wing, fixed wing, and ground transport. You will assess, treat, document, and coordinate patient care across transport phases, with autonomy under protocols and online medical direction.

Required are a nursing degree, RN license, and 3+ years in critical care; ACLS/BLS/PALS/NRP credentials are expected, with CFRN eligibility for internal progression.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Minimum three years' critical care experience as an RN.
• ICU or emergency department experience in a tertiary hospital; ICU experience preferred.
• Flight nurse experience and CFRN eligibility may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients during rotor wing, fixed wing and ground transport.
• Coordinate nursing care and document care provided during transport.
• Supervise care delivered by other medical professionals and pre-hospital staff.
