Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Critical Care Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy in a fast-paced trauma setting.

You will conduct nutrition assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes. RDN credentials and TN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• RDN credential required or eligible for CDR exam.
• TN Dietitian licensure required.
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred.
• Trauma nutrition experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Nutrition Care: conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and create individualized care plans for trauma patients.
• Education: provide nutrition guidance to patients, families, and staff for sustainable wellness.
• Evidence-Based Practice: align care with diet manual and hospital protocols.
• Quality & Performance Improvement: contribute to QAPI initiatives and improve patient outcomes.
• Collaboration: work with food service and care teams to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Mentorship: support dietetic interns and junior staff as applicable.

Setting : 445-bed acute care Level I Trauma Center and children's hospital

Schedule : Monday - Friday, with every 6th weekend rotation

Requirement : Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and TN Dietitian licensure

Position Details : This role will cover trauma (surgical) nutrition support.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000 + $5,000 sign-on bonus

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.
