Job summary

Qualifications

• Intensivist with strong cardiac interest and experience or a cardiologist with critical care experience and/or training.
• Cannulation experience preferred but not required.
• Educational opportunities with APPs, cardiology fellows, critical care fellows, residents and interns.
• Successful candidate will be able to place chest tubes, and perform bronchoscopy and emergent intubations.
• Hartford Hospital critical care unit is staffed with advanced practitioners and fellows.
• Heart and Vascular Institute is a leading program with high transplant activity.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease including pre- and postoperative care, heart transplant and/or a VAD, and ECMO cannulation.
• Opportunities for involvement in the ECMO program.
• Leadership opportunities within our ECMO program with appropriate level of experience.
• Educational opportunities with APPs, cardiology fellows, critical care fellows, residents and interns.
