• Active associate, provisional, or temporary licensure in the state under approved clinical supervision.
• Ability to conduct clinical assessments and provide appropriate crisis intervention services.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention principles, suicide risk assessment, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical interviews, psychosocial assessments, and risk assessments to determine safety, acuity, and level of care needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services including de-escalation, safety planning, brief individual, family, or group interventions, and short-term stabilization.
• Develop initial treatment plans or crisis care plans in collaboration with the individual and interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate referrals and link to ongoing services and natural supports.
• Collaborate with crisis services team to support coordinated response and safe transitions between levels of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in supervision, case consultation, training, and quality improvement activities.
• Deliver services in clinic-based, community-based, residential, hospital-based, correctional, or virtual settings.
• Work alternate schedules and participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 crisis delivery.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Crisis Therapist I provides clinical assessment, intervention, and stabilization services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises across a variety of service environments. This position delivers timely, person-centered, trauma-informed care with the goal of reducing risk, stabilizing symptoms, and supporting continuity of care across the crisis continuum of services. Expected outcomes include safe crisis resolution, accurate clinical documentation, and effective collaboration with other members of the crisis services team to ensure coordinated care and appropriate transitions.
