Job summary

Northern Lakes Community Mental Health is seeking a Clinical Therapist for the Grand Traverse Crisis & Access Center. The role delivers immediate clinical support to individuals in crisis, with mobile outreach as needed.

You will conduct assessments, determine service needs, and coordinate care across community resources to ensure stabilization and linkage to ongoing supports. The position requires irregular hours including overnights, collaboration with law enforcement, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited university.
• One year of experience in the mental health field with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Developmental Disabilities.
• Demonstrated DSM diagnostic competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assessments in person or via telehealth.
• Determine medical necessity for ongoing services and plan accordingly.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies for linkage to services.
• Provide direct and indirect services including advocacy and referrals.
• Maintain engagement with clients and follow up to ensure service participation.
