Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Dalton, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse (Crisis Stabilization) to join the 24/7 CSU. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, including risk assessment, admissions, discharges, medication administration, and crisis management, in a 28-bed short-term psychiatric stabilization and detox setting.

You will collaborate with APRNs and program leaders, document thoroughly, ensure safety, and educate patients and families while supporting the unit's daily

Qualifications

• RN license and current Georgia nursing license.
• Experience in crisis stabilization or psychiatric settings.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, charting and daily nursing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission and discharge paperwork and develop nursing care plans.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions; maintain charts and logs.
• Administer medications and transcribe orders as needed.
• Maintain unit census, CIWA/COWS, vitals, and safety protocols.
• Provide patient and family education; participate in team meetings.
• Support crisis intervention and coordination with other site staff.
