Responsibilities

• The Crisis Prevention Technician (CPT) works within the psychiatric departments to help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. This role responds to emergency situations, assists with patient care under nursing supervision, and implements de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to protect patients and staff.
• CPTs also conduct safety checks, supervise visitation and therapeutic activities, and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage aggressive behavior, and commitment to treating patients with dignity and respect are essential.
