Job description

At Axon, we're on a mission to Protect Life. We're explorers, pursuing society's most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other. Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you'll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

Global Security plays a critical role in protecting Axon's people, facilities, operations, and reputation. As the Crisis Management Program Manager, you will build and lead the programs that enable the organization to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive events.

Serving as the operational heartbeat and connective tissue across Global Security and key business partners; including Legal, HR, Workplace, Communications, IT, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership, you will establish the frameworks, governance, and relationships that transform crisis management from a reactive function into a strategic enterprise capability.

This is a unique opportunity to build a program from the ground up, influence executive decision-making, and help shape the future of Global Security at one of the world's most innovative technology companies.

What You'll Do
Build Axon's Preparedness Program

This role offers a unique opportunity to build a capability that will shape how Axon prepares for and responds to critical events around the world. Working across Global Security and key business partners, you will design and mature the frameworks, governance, and operational standards that enable coordinated, confident decision-making when it matters most. Success in this role will be measured not only by how effectively crises are managed, but by how well the organization is prepared before they occur.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for Axon's Crisis Management Program, ensuring it evolves alongside the company's global growth and operational complexity.
  • Design and maintain enterprise crisis management frameworks, governance, standards, and response methodologies that promote consistency across the organization.
  • Build and continuously refine crisis playbooks, decision support tools, and operational procedures that enable rapid, coordinated responses to a broad range of scenarios.
  • Champion a culture of preparedness by establishing sustainable processes that improve organizational readiness and strengthen enterprise resilience over time.
Lead Enterprise Crisis Coordination

When critical events occur, effective coordination becomes just as important as the response itself. In this role, you will provide the structure, leadership, and operational discipline that enable cross-functional teams to respond as one. By establishing clear decision-making frameworks, escalation protocols, and communication pathways, you will help ensure the right people are engaged at the right time with the information they need to make informed decisions.

Working alongside the GSOC, Physical Security, Threat Intelligence, Workplace, HR, Legal, Communications, IT, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership, you will help orchestrate coordinated responses that minimize operational disruption, protect our people, and strengthen confidence across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the coordination of cross-functional crisis response activities during significant security incidents and disruptive events.
  • Develop and maintain crisis activation procedures, escalation matrices, and decision-support frameworks that enable timely, consistent responses.
  • Facilitate Crisis Management Team (CMT) meetings, ensuring clear accountability, actionable decisions, and effective follow-through.
  • Prepare executive situation reports and operational updates that provide leaders with timely, accurate, and actionable information.
  • Coordinate post-incident reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving measurable improvements across the Crisis Management Program.

During rapidly evolving situations, timely information and thoughtful coordination can significantly influence business outcomes. In this role, you will help transform complex, fast-moving events into clear, actionable intelligence that enables leaders to make informed decisions with confidence. Working closely with the Crisis Management Team (CMT), GSOC, Threat Intelligence, and executive stakeholders, you will ensure decision-makers have the right information, at the right time, in the right format.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop executive briefing templates, situation reports, and decision-support tools that provide clarity during complex events.
  • Coordinate executive notification and escalation processes for significant incidents affecting people, operations, facilities, or reputation.
  • Partner with Global Security leadership to ensure executive communications remain timely, accurate, and aligned throughout an incident.
  • Support executive travel, strategic events, and other high-profile activities by integrating preparedness planning into broader security operations.
  • Continuously improve executive crisis support processes based on lessons learned and evolving business needs.
Build Trusted Partnerships Across Axon

Effective crisis management begins long before an incident occurs. Success in this role will depend on your ability to build trusted relationships across the organization, creating alignment before critical decisions need to be made. You'll become a recognized partner to leaders throughout Axon, helping departments understand how preparedness strengthens business continuity, supports operational excellence, and enables the company to respond with confidence during times of uncertainty.

Through collaboration, influence, and credibility, you'll strengthen Global Security's position as a trusted business partner while fostering a shared culture of preparedness across the enterprise.

You will:

  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders across Legal, HR, Workplace, IT, Manufacturing, Communications, GRC, Physical Security, GSOC, Threat Intelligence, and other business functions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions that align roles, responsibilities, and response expectations before incidents occur.Serve as the primary liaison for enterprise crisis preparedness initiatives, ensuring stakeholders remain informed, engaged, and aligned.
  • Promote preparedness through education, consultation, and relationship-building across the organization.
  • Represent Global Security in cross-functional meetings, projects, and strategic initiatives where crisis preparedness and organizational resilience are key considerations.
