Job summary

Catholic Charities of Central Washington seeks a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) to join its Mobile Crisis Intervention team in Washington state. The role focuses on crisis outreach, evaluation, and intervention to stabilize individuals with acute emotional distress and mental health crises, providing direct clinical services and consultation to colleagues.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
• Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health treatment
• Must obtain Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) designation upon hire
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Valid Washington State driver’s license
• Must be deemed insurable by agency insurance
• Knowledge of Washington Admin Codes for Acute Crisis Services and RCWs for BH disorders
• Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives and achieve results
• Strong crisis assessment and stabilization skills
• Good verbal and written communication for all ages and staff
• Ability to work with diverse cultures in clinical settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of strength-based approaches

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for crisis services and assesses the individual's location and needs
• Conducts crisis and intake assessments including mental health and substance use considerations
• Develops safety and treatment plans and stabilizes individuals in the community when possible
• Establishes and maintains relationships with community resources to ensure follow-up care
• Completes necessary paperwork in EHR and produces discharge plans
• Fosters teamwork and promotes professional, respectful collaboration within the team
• Follows agency programs, HIPAA guidelines, and supervision processes
• Performs other duties as assigned
