Job summary

The Institute of Living, part of Hartford HealthCare, invites applications for a Crisis Intake Worker. The role assists in triage and intake procedures for crisis patients and those under consideration for admission, and is responsible for monitoring and care at the Assessment Center.

Candidates should hold a BA or BS in Allied Health or related field, with knowledge of IOL programs or 6+ years in a psychiatric setting.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Allied Health or related field required.
• Knowledge of programs and services at the IOL and/or a minimum of 6 years experience in psychiatric setting.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication /written skills required
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills required.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of legal issues in mental health preferred.

Responsibilities
