Compass Health, Inc. seeks a Crisis Clinician for the Youth Behavioral Health Urgent Care (YBHUC) to assess youth in crisis, provide intake and diagnostic evaluations, and coordinate care transitions.

This role supports youth aged 5-17, with a focus on trauma-informed, person-centered care in rural communities. The position requires strong collaboration with nurses and multidisciplinary teams, plus documentation aligned with state standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work or psychology preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field required - or HS or equivalent if qualifying as a QAP.
  • Licensure/certification options include PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT or QAP alternatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assess youth in crisis alongside a nurse to determine clinical needs and next steps.
  • Serve as primary assessor for youth in urgent situations, completing intake and diagnostic assessments.
  • Guide the flow of care at the YBHUC and coordinate referrals internally and externally.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with agency and state standards.
  • Collaborate with community partners and support seamless transitions of care.

  • Youth Schedule: PRN/as needed - weekday, evenings, and weekend availability needed. Join a compassionate, mission-driven team responding to youth in behavioral health or substance use crises. As a Crisis Clinician
  • Youth, (Internal Title: Triage Clinician) you'll be at the front lines of care, conducting assessments, supporting youth aged 5-17, and guiding them toward stabilization and healing. Working in our Youth Behavioral Health Urgent Care (YBHUC) center, you'll help ensure youth in rural communities receive timely, person-centered, and trauma-informed support-without unnecessary hospitalization or law enforcement involvement. Support the YBHUC team with data collection and provide virtual crisis support to other locations as needed. Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work or psychology preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field required -or- High School or equivalent required, if qualifying as a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum of two years of experience working in Crisis Services if a bachelor's degree is the highest level of education obtained LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION If a licensed therapist, must have one of the following:
