West-Tennessee-Healthcare is seeking a Crisis Clinician II to provide crisis intervention services for adults to elderly across center and off-site locations in Jackson, TN. You will work five days per week, typically 8 hours per day, with potential call backs and weekend/holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Emergency behavior management training within 90 day orientation period and maintained throughout employment.
  • Experience in the mental health field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides crisis-oriented counseling by phone or face-to-face at the center or off-site locations.
  • Participates as on-call supervisor to provide 24-hour coverage as determined by the Clinical Manager.
  • Coordinates services for clients with agencies and professionals.
  • Screens and refers clients for appropriate level of care.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all services rendered.

Responsibilities of Crisis Clinician II are performed for adult to geriatric age groups. Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, responsible for crisis intervention to fluctuating volume of clients per day, for a designated shift, five days per week, generally 8 hours per day. Employee is subject to call back as needed.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provides brief crisis oriented counseling on the phone as needed or face to face in the center or an off-site location.Participates as supervisor on-call so as to provide 24 hour coverage as determined by the Clinical Manager.Coordinates services for clients with agencies and professionals.Screens and refers clients for appropriate level of care.Assists physicians and qualified staff in the first certification process for emergency admission of client to the Regional Mental Health Institute by pre-assessing clients and collecting information.
