Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to support a brand-new Receiving Center offering rapid response and short-term stabilization for behavioral health crises.

The role requires an Ohio Board-Certified Psychiatric NP with a valid DEA license, and experience in crisis or inpatient settings is a plus. Collaboration with on-site psychiatry and addiction medicine prescribers is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ohio licensure as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric).
• Valid DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
• Experience in inpatient or crisis behavioral health is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment.
• Coordinate care and document accurately per policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and the care team.
• Engage with families to support treatment plans where appropriate.
• Support Receiving Center operations and crisis care best practices.
