Job summary

Jacksonville State University invites applications for an Instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation. The position will teach undergraduate and graduate Criminal Justice and/or Forensic Investigation courses across face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.

In addition to teaching, the candidate will mentor students, contribute to service and scholarship, and engage in departmental activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours completed.
• Experience with undergraduate and graduate teaching is preferred.
• Online teaching experience (Canvas or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate Criminal Justice and/or Forensic Investigation courses across formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
• Mentor students, contribute to service and scholarship within the discipline.
• Engage in program development and deliver quality instruction in a non-tenure-track role beginning August 2027.

Education

Master's degree in criminal justice, forensic science, forensic investigation, or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours
