You will interact with clients, draft motions and briefs, conduct independent investigations, and negotiate with prosecutors to secure favorable outcomes. The role requires meticulous case management, adherence to deadlines, and strong writing and research skills in a fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal court proceedings, including arraignments, hearings, trials, and plea negotiations.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings with precision and clarity.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and options throughout the criminal justice process.
• Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable plea agreements when appropriate.
• Investigate case facts by reviewing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and consulting experts in areas such as forensic science or accident reconstruction.

Established criminal defense law firm with many years of experience, is seeking a FULL-TIME Contract attorney in Pasadena and surrounding Counties. Will handle own case-load from beginning to end on ALL CRIMINAL CASES including misdemeanors and felonies. Must have experience in handling all types of criminal matters with ability to handle criminal cases from start to end. Must be willing to handle a heavy case-load. Client interaction is a must.
