Crime Scene Resources, Inc. in Macon, GA seeks a skilled Crime Scene Technician to assist in investigations across residential, commercial, and other crime scenes. You will collect and preserve evidence, photograph scenes, and support lab analysis.

The role requires knowledge of procedures, ability to testify in court, and travel to multiple sites. A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred; prior crime scene experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Three years crime scene investigation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of evidence collection, courtroom procedures, and lab workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations at a range of crime scenes including residential, commercial and other incidents.
  • Collect, preserve, and transport physical evidence such as fingerprints, clothing, and firearms.
  • Document scenes with photos/videos and write crime reports based on findings.
  • Examine evidence in field and lab for latent fingerprints using powders, chemicals, and lighting.
  • Appear in court as an expert witness and provide depositions when required.
  • Travel to various sites as part of investigative work.
