Job summary

The California Department of Justice is seeking a Crime Analyst I for the Riverside Laboratory to oversee the more complex operations of the property control system and inventory management within the Bureau of Forensic Services. You will establish a chain of custody for evidence, monitor storage areas, and use the asset management system to track equipment, supplies, and vehicles.

This permanent, full-time position operates 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, in office in Riverside County, with telework

Responsibilities

• Establishing and coordinating the more complex operations of the laboratory’s property control system and inventory management.
• Reviewing associated case information and establishing a chain of custody for each submitted evidence item.
• Monitoring the laboratory’s evidence storage areas.
• Utilizing the Department’s asset management system to track laboratory equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
