Job summary

Middlesex Cricket is seeking a dedicated Skills Coach to lead a specific youth skill set within the Middlesex pathway. Based at Lord’s Cricket Ground, London, you will travel across Middlesex as required, overseeing an age group across the season and delivering coaching in line with the pathway philosophy.

The role involves evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays, with 6 hours per week in winter plus matchdays in summer. Start date is November 2026, with salary described as competitive.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth player development and pathway cricket coaching.
• Proven talent identification and player progression track record.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding certifications.
• Valid ECB DBS clearance and UK right to work.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong digital and IT skills, including performance analysis tools and social media.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and oversee training for the specific skill.
• Lead coaching delivery of sessions with quality and consistency.
• Oversee an age group for the Middlesex County Age Group season.
• Integrate athletic development principles to support long-term growth.
• Contribute to talent identification strategy prioritising accessibility and inclusion.
• Ensure players receive IDPs and high-quality feedback.
• Ensure compliance with MCCC policies including safeguarding.
