Job summary

Barfield Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a dedicated Seat Technician to join our Operations/Production team, where you will test, repair, and overhaul aircraft crew seats. The role supports daily production tasks and requires hands-on mechanical work.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in a mechanical field, familiarity with standard test equipment, basic MS Office, and FAA airframe/powerplant licenses; Electronic Principals training is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in a mechanical field.
  • Familiar with standard test equipment (Torque wrenches, multi-meters, calipers…).
  • Possess both mechanical and electrical components for adjustment.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant FAA licenses.
  • Formal Electronic Principals training.

Responsibilities

  • Test, repair, modify and/or overhaul aircraft crew seats.
  • Support our Operations/Production department in daily tasks.

Your background matches the role:

  • Possess both mechanical and electrical components for adjustment.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a mechanical field.
  • Familiar with standard test equipment (Torque wrenches, multi-meters, calipers…)

You possess a successful track record as:

  • Able to follow written instructions from technical manuals or document.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to maneuver 100 lbs.
  • Familiar with and possess basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers…)
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Experience with Quantum.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant FAA licenses.
  • Formal Electronic Principals training.
