Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Groundsperson/CDL Driver in Springfield, VA to join the General Tree Care team. You will be involved in pruning, removals and cable bracing, working on-site at client properties with a focus on safe, efficient tree care services.

You will operate chainsaws, bucket trucks, and aerial lifts while following safety standards and company procedures. CDL license and authorized work in the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and knowledge of their characteristics.
• Experience with tree care safety standards.
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform pruning, removals, cable bracing, and related tree care tasks on a General Tree Care crew.
• Safely operate equipment and perform assigned tasks while delivering high-quality service.

The General Tree Care Team are the muscle of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients' landscapes. In this role as a Groundsperson/CDL Driver, team members have the opportunity to work outside and visit beautiful properties in their community. The Tree Care team applies expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure the health and well-being of each client's landscape, and safely transporting equipment.

What a day is like:

Daily focus is working together on a General Tree Care crew to provide high quality tree care to our clients. The Tree Care Team is involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing and other concepts related to tree care. Team members are able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients. This position will report daily to the office in Charleston, SC.

What kind of person are we looking for?

• Experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and have a working knowledge of each species' characteristics
• Experience with tree care safety standards
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
• Valid U.S Driver's license, CDL required
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck)
• Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.

This position pays up to $30 per hour based off of experience. We also offer PTO, full benefits, and 401k!
