Job summary

Juniper Landscaping is seeking an Irrigation Maintenance Crew Member to maintain and repair irrigation systems for our Commercial Landscape Maintenance properties. This role requires outdoor work, physical activity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining irrigation systems preferred.
• Able to operate handheld and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Spanish language is a plus.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in heat.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs irrigation systems, replacing valves and sprinkler heads.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, and tests irrigation systems.
• Repairs pipes and fixtures, replaces parts as needed.
• Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Installs or repairs irrigation lines.
• Conducts and records detailed irrigation inspections.
• May assist with various maintenance tasks as required.
• Promotes safety and proper use of equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools for landscape and irrigation duties.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and repairs irrigation systems including replacing valves, sprinkler heads, and PVC plumbing.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, and tests irrigation systems.
• Repairs and replaces pipes and numerous types of sprinkler heads and fixtures.
• Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Installs or repairs irrigation lines.
• Conducts and records detailed inspections of irrigation systems.
• May assist in various maintenance activities as required.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Use of hand and power equipment for landscape and irrigation duties
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Landscape lighting experience is a plus
• Spanish a plus
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
