Job summary

Jimmy John’s – Columbia Heights (Central Ave) is hiring for a crew member to greet customers, assemble sandwiches quickly, and maintain a sanitary restaurant environment. You will interact with customers, take orders, operate the register, handle payments, and ensure accuracy and friendly service throughout shifts.

Daytime and evening shifts are available; pay starts at $14 per hour. Prior retail food experience is a plus, and applicants should be able to stand, bend and walk during the entire

• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently and clearly.
• Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday.
• Experience with a retail food company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches.
• Comply with all portion sizes, recipes, and all systems and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including all tables, floors, windows, beverage station, restrooms, etc.
• Greet customers, take orders, operate cash register, collect payment from customers, and make change.
• Execute blow away greetings and farewells.
• Take phone orders and complete delivery orders.
• Fill out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain professional appearance at all times in compliance with the Jimmy John’s Dress Code.
• Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Perform other related duties as required.
