Destiny Foods Inc. in Taylor, TX is hiring Subway Sandwich Artist to greet guests, prepare orders, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service is essential, and you may rotate to different restaurant areas as needed.

This role offers part-time and full-time schedules with pay rates of $13 per hour plus tips for part-time and $14–$15 per hour plus tips for full-time. No prior experience required; high school or equivalent preferred.

DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

The Subway Sandwich Artist� greets and serves guests, prepares product, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, has multiple daily cleaning duties, and may handle or process light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting customers and preparing their orders.
• Ability to work in any area of the restaurant when needed.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains to customers accurately.
• Operates and uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record orders and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from customers and makes change.
• Prepares food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
• Checks products in sandwich unit area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
• Cleans and maintains all areas including equipment in the restaurant to promote a clean image. Understands and adheres to the 3-step method for cleaning.
• Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the SUBWAY� Operations Manual.
• Maintains a professional appearance by being in full uniform and meets grooming standards as outlined in the SUBWAY� Operations Manual and Uniform Policy.
• May perform light paperwork duties as assigned.
• Completes University of SUBWAY� courses as directed.

Part-time = $13 an hour, plus tips

Full-time = $14-$15 an hour, plus tips

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Some high school or equivalent.

Experience: No previous experience required.

SKILLS

• Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Must be able to use Point of System (POS).
• Ability to work in a team environment and establish professional working relationships.
• Adaptable to a changing environment and high volume shifts due to customer demands.
• Must be able to obtain a Texas Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire.

Physical: Position requires bending, twisting stooping, standing, reaching, use of hands, repetitive tasks and walking the entire shift. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
