Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member to join our outdoor team in a fast-paced environment. The role involves mowing, trimming, mulching, and planting, executed under the guidance of a Field Manager.

We value a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a professional attitude on site. You will operate a range of landscape equipment, participate in daily site setup and cleanup, and assist with monitoring plant health and irrigation issues.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties under Field Manager direction.
• Support mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, planting, and seasonal clean-ups.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers).
• Assist with daily operations including setup, cleanup, debris removal, and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor landscape conditions and report irrigation issues or plant health concerns to supervisors.
• Communicate daily activities and needs with team and supervisors.
• Work with team while adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance on job sites.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations.

As a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member, you will perform a variety of landscape management tasks including mowing, trimming, mulching, and planting while working collaboratively with a team under the direction of a Field Manager. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, professionalism, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of landscape maintenance duties while following Field Manager direction, property specifications, and maintenance standards to ensure quality workmanship and timely service completion
• Support routine landscape maintenance services such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, planting, and seasonal clean-ups to maintain healthy and attractive properties
• Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools and landscape maintenance equipment - including mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, bed edgers, and other walk-behind or ride-on machinery
• Support safe and efficient daily operations through jobsite setup and cleanup, debris removal, material handling, and the transport, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment and tools
• Assist with monitoring landscape conditions and reporting irrigation issues, plant health concerns, property damage, or other maintenance needs to supervisors
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding daily maintenance activities, property conditions, equipment or material needs, safety concerns, and service quality
• Work collaboratively within a team environment while adhering to all safety protocols, company procedures, and industry best practices
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance on job sites and represent the company with professionalism at all times
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall team operations

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset with a commitment to adhering to safety regulations, promoting safe work practices, and wearing proper PPE at all times
• Physically capable of routinely lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 50 pounds outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Energetic, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
• Consistently report to work on time and maintain dependable attendance
• Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• No prior industry experience is required; training will be provided for motivated and dependable candidates

Hours / OT Eligibility: Typically 40-45 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required during the spring season
