Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a Crew Member to join our team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You may rotate through Frozen, Fountain, Expo, or Switchboard roles and your primary responsibility is to provide every guest with a SuperSONIC experience.

You will create and package delicious menu items, take orders, and keep our stations clean and safe while delivering friendly service with a smile. Nights, weekends, and holidays shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Create and package delicious menu items.
• Take customer orders and accurately process order changes as needed.
• Prepare drinks, frozen treats, and food items at assigned stations, including grill and fryer as needed.
• Check menu items for quality, accuracy, and consistency before serving or packaging.
• Clean assigned restaurant areas, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counters, and sanitizing food preparation areas.
• Continuously communicate with the team to help motivate.

As a SONIC Drive-In Crew Member which may include Frozen, Fountain, Expo, or Switchboard your primary responsibility is to provide every guest with a SuperSONIC experience by:

• Creating and packaging delicious menu items


• Trying to beat your best record, every time


• Being proactive (If you're not busy now, you may be in 5 minutes!)


• Continuously communicating with the team to help motivate


• Being a menu genius and helping SONIC customers navigate all customizable combinations


• Maintaining SONIC safety and sanitation standards


• Taking customer orders and accurately processing order changes as needed


• Preparing drinks, frozen treats, and food items at assigned stations, including grill and fryer as needed


• Checking menu items for product quality, accuracy, and consistency before serving or packaging


• Cleaning assigned restaurant areas, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counters, and sanitizing food preparation areas

Requirements

Restaurant Team Member Requirements:

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays


• Ability to be flexible in all situations based on restaurant business needs


• Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills


• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at Sonic Drive-In restaurants


• General knowledge and understanding of the food service/restaurant industry or retail operations preferred, but not required
