Job summary

Team Fishel in Akron, OH is seeking Underground Telecom Crew Leaders to manage job sites, uphold safety, and drive productivity in our telecom construction division. You will lead daily crew activities, coordinate with customers, and ensure quality and safety standards on projects in Northeast Ohio.

The role requires field leadership, strong communication with teammates and customers, and relevant construction experience. On-the-job training and industry certifications are provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Competent Person Training in Trenching and Excavation.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR is desired.
• Basic Aerial Placement is desired.
• Three years related experience in construction.
• Ability to communicate with Teammates and customers.
• Valid Class A CDL strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress.
• Evaluate Teammates performance and provide coaching.

Underground Telecom Crew Leaders at Team Fishel assist in managing the job site situations, maintain a safe working environment, and being accountable for safety, quality and productivity. Underground Telecom Crew Leaders will handle new business projects within our Telecom Construction division. It is also a great opportunity to be part of the initial team that will establish Team Fishel as the leader in utility construction industry in Northeast Ohio as it grows.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Competent Person Training in Trenching and Excavation
• Certification in First Aid/CPR is desired

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work related experience

• Ability to communicate with Teammates and customers
• Backhoe, Trencher Operator is desired
• Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License strongly preferred

Bilingual and prior construction experience is highly desirable.

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
