Invited Clubs in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking a Foreman to lead turf and landscape maintenance on our golf courses. This hands-on role involves operating equipment, assisting irrigation management, and maintaining course aesthetics to keep the club in excellent condition.

You will work closely with the maintenance team, follow safety protocols, and support daily operations, including setting up new course features and addressing issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and club excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or grounds keeping.
• Knowledge of turf management, equipment operation, and landscape maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowers, aerators, sprayers, and other equipment for greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Assist in applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides per safety guidelines.
• Perform routine irrigation tasks and adjust sprinklers as needed.
• Monitor turf for pests, diseases, or issues and report to Superintendent.
• Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and vegetation around the course and clubhouse.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain flowerbeds, sod, and landscapes.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and reporting malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensure all areas are debris-free and hazards-safe.

Job Summary

The Foreman is responsible for performing a wide range of turf and landscape maintenance activities to ensure the golf course is kept in excellent condition. This hands‑on role involves operating equipment, assisting with irrigation management, maintaining course aesthetics, and supporting the day-to‑day maintenance needs of the club.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to the Equipment Manger

Day to Day

• Operate mowers, aerators, sprayers, and other powered equipment for mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Assist in applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to safety guidelines.
• Perform routine irrigation tasks, including adjusting sprinklers and repairing broken lines.
• Monitor turf and landscape areas for signs of pests, diseases, or other issues, reporting concerns to the Superintendent.
• Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and other vegetation around the course and clubhouse.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain flowerbeds, sod, and other landscape features.
• Assist in soil preparation, sod laying, and planting new vegetation.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of grounds keeping equipment after each use.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain all areas of the golf course, including pathways, bunkers, and water hazards, to ensure they are free of debris and hazards.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of the new course features as directed.
• Work closely with other maintenance team members to complete daily tasks.

Additional Duties

• Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
• Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
• Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.
• Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
• Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success.

About You

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Preferred

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or grounds keeping.
• Knowledge in tur management, equipment operation, and landscape maintenance.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.
• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing.

Work Schedule

• Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule.
• Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
