Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to ensure productivity of daily operations and coordinate with management on hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols for the crew.

The Foreperson troubleshoots site issues, conducts training, mentors employees and contractors, and maintains records. This full-time, non-exempt position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Understand drawings and symbols representing lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new/updated job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruptions, and responsibilities with owners/customers; refers issues to General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of work and proper crew behavior.
• May investigate incidents and minor damage claims; reports to General Foreperson.
• Keeps accurate records, timesheets, and crew operation reports.
• Controls crew costs; optimizes manpower and equipment use.
• Furnishes reports on orders, units completed, crew time, and repairs.
• Reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and property damage; follow-up with new employees.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments for safe blocking of streets/driveways.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and safety measures to protect employees and public.
