Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Crew Foreman in Columbia to supervise electrical services crews and perform journeyman-level linework as needed. You will oversee safety, production, quality, and field operations while guiding crew members and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires extensive linework experience, leadership ability, and a valid CDL. You will coordinate utility locates, maintain records, and support both overhead and underground installations and repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of electric utility or linework experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Journeyman Lineman-level knowledge and skills.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct electrical services crews and provide hands-on technical support.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, including poles, conductors, cables, transformers, switches, and related equipment.
• Perform overhead and underground linework, including stringing conductors and testing voltage.
• Call in and verify utility locates before excavation.
• Maintain production records and required paperwork.

This position oversees safety, production, quality, and daily field operations while performing journeyman-level linework as needed.**Key Responsibilities:*** Lead and direct electrical services crews and provide hands-on technical support.* Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, including poles, conductors, cables, transformers, switches, and related equipment.* Perform overhead and underground linework, including stringing conductors, installing cable, testing voltage, and troubleshooting equipment.* Call in and verify utility locates before excavation.* Maintain accurate production records, billing documentation, and required paperwork.* Ensure compliance with OSHA, NESC, company, and electric utility safety standards.* Operate bucket trucks, material handlers, and other linework equipment.* Perform pole top and bucket truck rescue when required.**Required Qualifications:*** Minimum 8 years of electric utility or linework experience.* Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.* Journeyman Lineman-level knowledge and skills.* Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.* OSHA 10 certification.* Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, live-line procedures, rubber glove and sleeve techniques, and REA framing.* Training in Pole Top Rescue, Bucket Truck Rescue, CPR, First Aid, Equi-Potential Grounding, Tagging, and Buck Squeeze.
