Position Overview
The Assistant Manager (AM) is responsible for supporting the General Manager in managing the entire store’s operations and meeting performance and profit goals. The AM assists in selecting, developing, and training all associates, ensures safety processes are followed, and delivers an exceptional customer experience that aligns with our vision.
Principal Duties
- Supervise daily task assignments and performance for all management and associates.
- Ensure a pleasant dining experience for all customers. Respond to complaints, solicit feedback, and create plans to exceed expectations.
- Manage associate matters – recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, engagement, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate training programs.
- Plan and execute safety, security, quality, and operational policies, procedures, and practices.
- Analyze results and trends; prepare and implement action plans to leverage strengths and address opportunities.
- Plan work schedules and coordinate daily assignments to meet business needs.
Management‑Essential Duties
- Supervise day‑to‑day tasks and performance of Customer Service Associates, including hiring, training, coaching, and progressive discipline.
- Oversee hourly store management associates.
- Ensure proper training and compliance for all hourly associates.
- Oversee cash management procedures and analyze Loss Prevention reports for trends.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through precise cycle counts, order monitoring, and corrective action plans.
- Control inventory by verifying external vendor deliveries and ensuring accurate receipt.
- Implement security, quality, and operations policies, procedures, and procedures listed in training materials.
- Analyze audit results (internal and external) and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
- Celebrate and recognize store associates.
- Ensure 24/7 execution of customer service programs and processes.
- Communicate with the store manager regarding customer service issues and concerns.
- Respond to customer complaints, solicit feedback, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
