You will coordinate material handling and documentation, work with a team, and contribute to energy efficiency and comfort for clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Insulation installation in walls, crawl spaces and ceilings per project specs.
• Remove old or damaged insulation with care to avoid structural damage.
• Install radiant barriers to improve energy efficiency.
• Seal openings to prevent pests and improve energy efficiency.
• Identify and seal air leaks to maintain indoor comfort.
• Transport materials to job sites and manage storage.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain records of materials used and hours worked.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors for smooth execution.

Insulation Commandos of North Houston is seeking a dedicated and skilled Crew Chief to join our expanding team. As an Insulation Crew Chief, you will play a crucial role in improving energy efficiency, comfort, and safety in residential and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for the installation and removal of various types of insulation materials, as well as performing tasks such as radiant barrier installation, rodent mitigation, and air sealing.

Insulation Commandos of North Houston is an independently operated insulation contractor offering premium insulation services to homeowners, contractors, and property owners.

Duties include:

• Insulation Installation: Install various types of insulation materials in wall, crawl space and ceiling cavities according to project specifications.
• Insulation Removal: Safely remove old or damaged insulation from existing structures while minimizing damage to the building's structure.
• Radiant Barrier Installation: Install radiant barriers to improve energy efficiency by reflecting heat away from living spaces.
• Rodent Mitigation: Seal openings and gaps in walls, floors, and ceilings to prevent rodents and pests from entering insulated spaces.
• Air Sealing: Identify and seal air leaks in buildings to improve energy efficiency and maintain indoor comfort.
• Material Handling: Transport insulation materials to job sites and ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of insulation materials.
• Quality Control: Ensure that insulation installation meets quality standards and follows industry best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any issues or concerns encountered.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with team members, contractors, and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in insulation installation is but not required.
• Previous experience in construction, drywall, painting, masonry, landscaping, or related field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to undergo additional training and certifications as required.
