Job summary

Primoris Engineering is seeking a Crew Chief to lead a survey team in San Antonio, Texas. You will supervise a crew in the field, ensure safety, and interpret project plans to meet standards and schedules.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in construction or utility services with leadership experience, and can read blueprints, communicate effectively, and operate field equipment. CDL may be required depending on projects; OSHA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications preferred.
• 3-5 years of construction or utility services experience, with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required depending on project needs.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.

This position is responsible for leading and supervising a team of workers in the field to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specified standards. This role involves direct oversight of daily operations, adherence to project plans, and effective communication with project managers and crew members.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of workers, providing clear direction and delegating tasks effectively.

Job Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on project needs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
