Job summary

SCI is seeking an attentive Crematory Operator for a Peachtree City, GA location. You will handle cremation processes with care, ensure proper documentation and identification, and uphold safety standards.

The role requires adherence to regulatory requirements and meticulous record-keeping for all logs and chain-of-custody paperwork. You will maintain the crematorium and equipment, support transfers or releases of remains to authorized parties, and perform additional duties as assigned by

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal funeral service or mortuary science program where required by state law.
• Certified Crematory Operator as required by state law; valid driver’s license if performing removals and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Care for deceased in a respectful manner during cremation operations.
• Receive remains with complete documentation and visual identification.
• Complete required documentation for cremation and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to all licensing regulations applicable to cremation of human remains.
• Follow all applicable policies and procedures.
• Maintain company logs/reports and state-specific reports.
• Maintain chain-of-custody paperwork.
• Promote safe work environment and universal precautions.
• Maintain crematorium, equipment and adjacent facilities.
• Deliver or release cremated remains to funeral homes or authorities.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
