Job summary

Foundation Partners Group is seeking a Crematory Operator to ensure remains are received, processed, and returned to families with compassion. You may assist with transporting remains and must maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations.

Requirements include at least 21 years old, able to lift 100 lbs, and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proficiency in MS Office is favored.

Qualifications

• Crematory operator certification is preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs safely.
• Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with good follow-up.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Care for the deceased respectfully while performing cremation processes.
• Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities.
• Receive remains with complete documentation and accurate visual identification.
• Receive instructions, determine task order, and complete tasks promptly.
• Promote a safe work environment by applying universal precautions.
• Deliver and release cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member.

Job description

As a Crematory Operator, you will be responsible for seeing that the remains are correctly received, processed, and returned to the family. You may also assist with transporting the deceased from nursing homes, hospitals, residences, or coroner's offices to the funeral home. As funeral home representatives, you must maintain composure in challenging situations with compassion and kindness. You must be at least 21 years old, able to safely lift 100 lbs, and have a valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record.

What You Will Do:

• Compassion & Empathy: Care for the deceased respectfully while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation process
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities
• Meticulous Attention: Receive remains and ensure all documentation is complete and visual identification of the deceased is complete and accurate
• Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptly
• Safety Conscious: Promotes a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct
• Professional Delivery: Delivers and releases cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member
