Job summary

Ascendion is partnering with a well-established creditors' rights law firm in Plantation, FL to recruit a Paralegal for an on-site role based at the firm's headquarters. The position supports a busy litigation team handling secured and unsecured debt matters, with a salary range of $60K–$80K depending on experience.

You will assist across the full recovery lifecycle from pre-litigation demands through judgment enforcement, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and related proceedings, drafting pleadings,

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification required.
• Strong drafting and communication skills essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, complaints, motions and supporting documents for lawsuits filed in state and federal court.
• Process wage garnishments, bank levies, and property seizures to support collection on judgments.
• Draft demand letters and track payment plans and structured settlements.
• Assist in bankruptcy matters, including motions to lift automatic stay and claims priority documentation.
• Support foreclosure and repossession proceedings and maintain case files.
• Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure documentation integrity and compliance.
