Job summary

A mid-sized law firm in Baltimore is seeking a Mid-level Associate Attorney to join its growing Financial Services practice group. The ideal candidate should have 2–5 years of experience in representing creditors in various matters including bankruptcy proceedings, loan workouts, and foreclosures. Strong litigation skills and a Juris Doctor degree are required. Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Maryland Bar (additional Bar Admissions a plus).
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in creditors' rights, bankruptcy, or financial services litigation.
  • Strong litigation, documentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent creditors, lenders, and financial institutions in court proceedings.
  • Advise clients on loan restructuring and recovery strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements and loan modifications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on financial issues.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategies.
