Job summary

Bank of America in New York is seeking a dedicated credit underwriting professional to lead the analysis for new and existing clients within the Global Infrastructure Credit team, partnering with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk to structure deals and approve them.

You will develop and review financial models, monitor performance and risk, coach junior teammates, and help complete loan documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policy

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in corporate or commercial credit activities.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • BA degree in Finance or related major.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Formal credit training program at financial institution.
  • Experience in project finance/tax equity/structured credit with a focus in energy, power, or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the credit analysis process with the support of other analysts and associates.
  • Partners with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements.
  • Monitors operating performance and financial condition, proactively identifying issues and opportunities.
  • Assists in delivery of financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process.
  • Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure.
  • Has credit approval for certain credit actions.
  • Participates in loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners.
  • Performs intensive qualitative and quantitative due diligence on transaction structures, stress scenarios, financial models, engineer reports, and terms and conditions.
  • Participate in the underwriting and documentation of project finance and other credit facilities designed to meet both client and investor needs as well as balance the bank's internal risk/return requirements.
  • Provide input into key projects/initiatives across the bank.
  • Review the credit profile of key transaction counterparties (e.g. borrowers, servicers, sponsors and off-takers)

Job Description

This job is responsible for supporting credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with a credit team. Key responsibilities include completing and reviewing credit analysis, evaluating risks, reviewing work by less experienced teammates, and writing financial analysis for approval or monitoring. Job expectations include leading the process, ensuring timely and accurate analysis, and coaching teammates on credit requirements.

Embedded across the bank's eight lines of business, the Global Infrastructure Credit team reflects the bank's initiative to fuel the global economy, build trust and credibility with communities, and represents a company that people want to work for, invest in, and do business with. The Global Infrastructure Credit team supports the continued growth in sustainable and infrastructure finance and further deliver on Bank of America's Critical Infrastructure Finance Initiative. The Global Infrastructure Credit Team covers transactions for Project Finance, Tax Equity and Corporate Lending through involvement in the origination and underwriting of transactions.

Pay range

$110,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
