Our credit team manages credit risk activities for lending products including Student Loan Refinance, Private Student Loan, Personal Loan, Credit Card, and Mortgage, and designs data‑driven strategies to grow the business while managing risk.

What you’ll do
  • Bring your brightest ideas to building risk strategies, including architecting pre‑screen and underwriting strategies.
  • Lead deep data analysis to power real‑time lending decisions using internal, bureau, third‑party, and alternative data sources.
  • Embrace a culture of iteration, learning, and innovation to drive data‑driven decisions.
  • Control risk and drive performance outcomes by understanding credit risk, mitigating loss, and responsibly growing revenue. Monitor strategy performance, document and communicate results, and drive corrective actions.
  • Serve as an inspired leader in a rapidly growing business, mentoring peers and collaborating across product, engineering, capital markets, and business units.
What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of related experience in consumer lending or credit risk.
  • Business acumen and experience in the consumer lending business (loans or credit cards).
  • Direct experience in the credit strategy analytical lifecycle, including strategy development, decision tree creation, presentation, implementation validation, and post‑implementation monitoring.
  • Proven analytical skills using customer performance data, bureau attributes, and third‑party variables to solve business problems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Ability to synthesize complex analysis and communicate findings to business partners and senior management.
  • High motivation to drive results, eagerness to learn, and collaboration in a fluid environment.
  • Knowledge of analytical and modeling techniques such as decision trees, regression, logistic regression, A/B testing, and Tableau.
  • Preferred: 4+ years of consumer lending credit strategy work experience.
  • Preferred: Experience testing credit strategies or models to meet fair lending requirements.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
