Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior risk professional to support risk governance and oversight in a financial services environment. The role focuses on independent risk assessments, control testing and reporting to senior management and the board.

The successful candidate will maintain the Risk Management Framework, monitor KRIs and ensure regulatory compliance, with a strong emphasis on IFRS 9 methodologies and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within risk management, credit risk, ICAAP/ILAAP, internal audit or a similar control function in financial services.
• Strong understanding of banking regulation, corporate governance and enterprise risk management principles.
• Experience performing independent risk assessments, control reviews and risk reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to challenge stakeholders constructively while maintaining independence.

Responsibilities

• Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of the Bank's key risks.
• Maintain and enhance the Bank's Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite Framework, policies and procedures.
• Monitor risk appetite metrics, KRIs and risk limits, investigating breaches and escalating material issues where appropriate.
• Provide independent second line oversight across first line risk activities, controls and decision-making processes.
• Conduct risk assessments, thematic reviews and control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of the Bank's control environment.
• Assist during regulatory inspections, supervisory reviews and internal audits, ensuring timely delivery of documentation and remediation actions.
