About the Role
Join a high-impact risk team owning and enhancing credit risk models and the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL). You’ll run third-party models (CRE, C&I, Residential), analyze PD/LGD behavior, and produce quarterly CECL estimates—partnering closely with Credit, Accounting, Data, and Audit. You’ll also refine our use of Moody’s modeling suite and a reserve engine, build repeatable reporting (Tableau/Excel/PowerPoint), and present results to senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a power-user and steward of third-party credit loss models; maintain documentation to internal/regulatory standards.
- Advance and operationalize Moody’s CMM, RiskCalc, and MPA outputs for back-testing, attribution, and reserving.
- Execute PD/LGD modeling runs for ACL, planning/forecasting, and ad-hoc needs; QA/diagnose anomalies.
- Build expertise in the reserve calculation engine (e.g., Evolv); perform runs, testing/debugging, and report building.
- Produce quarterly CECL documentation (methods/results) for management and internal/external auditors; support ASC 326-20 reviews.
- Compile current-economy assessment materials for review/challenge by the forecasting committee.
- Automate model/report pipelines; partner with data/tech to strengthen data infrastructure.
- Deliver recurring/ad-hoc reporting via Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; present results to stakeholders.
- Adhere to bank policies and AML/BSA/Patriot Act requirements; report suspicious activity.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (Statistics, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics).
- 1+ year in financial services with hands‑on analytics/modeling; strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint. Tableau preferred. Python a plus.
- Experienced in managing and analyzing large‑scale data sets (thousands of records).
- Working knowledge of statistical/quantitative modeling, database querying/merging, and credit risk concepts (PD/LGD, cash‑flow mechanics).
- Clear communication for cross‑functional audiences; detail‑oriented under deadlines. Relevant certifications (CFA/FRM/PRM) are a plus.
