Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate in Risk, Credit Risk for Global Banking & Markets focusing on Private Equity Funds. You will assess creditworthiness, monitor risk, and collaborate with trading desks to manage portfolio risk across fund counterparties.

Responsibilities include evaluating fund performance, providing senior management insights, and applying stress tests to support underwriting and risk reviews.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in finance, markets, or risk.
• Significant knowledge of capital markets, including secured loan products, with experience in fund lending preferred.
• Demonstrable track record of independent decision making.
• Strong attention to detail; excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating credit risk aspects of fund financial performance and ratings profile.
• Providing insights and analysis to senior credit risk management on specific loans and portfolio information.
• Assess transactions across Derivatives & Funding businesses; leverage quantitative models and stress tests.
• Reviewing and approving risk taking in lending products at underwriting and over the loan lifecycle.
• Drive risk conversations with trading and sales teams (OTC derivatives, repo, etc).
