Job summary

Petra Funds Group is seeking a Fund Accounting Director to lead a credit fund accounting team and deliver accurate financial reports to clients. You will be a technical expert in credit operations, oversee waterfall mechanics and loan servicing, and drive process improvements. Strong leadership and client management are essential.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to align services with Petra’s growth objectives and maintain uncompromising accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 15+ years in fund accounting with private credit/direct lending focus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and fund administration for credit vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead fund accounting team, prepare and review financial statements and capital activity.
• Oversee credit operations: loan trade settlement, notices, and servicing.
• Manage waterfall calculations and covenant reporting.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team and drive process improvements.
• Partner with senior leadership to align services with client needs.
