You will analyze credit profiles, approve or decline credit limits, manage a portfolio of domestic and complex international accounts, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience; five years in credit/collections.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets; SAP experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing and B2B accounts receivable; knowledge of credit law.

Responsibilities

  • Administer credit granting for domestic and international accounts with emphasis on financial ratio analysis.
  • Analyze customer credit profiles per established policies and procedures.
  • Investigate risk using credit bureau reports and financial data to decide on credit limits.
  • Perform monthly portfolio risk assessments and deliver reports to the business.
  • Assist manager with ad hoc reporting and special projects; mentor junior staff.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to meet portfolio goals and mitigate bad debt risk.
  • Inform Sales and Credit management of any problematic credit issues.

As a Credit and Collections Analyst Senior your goal is to support the order to cash process by applying Company collection policies and procedures in a manner that will result in the sound conversion of receivables into cash, while maintaining a minimum amount of past dues for assigned accounts. You’ll also approve or decline credit limit requests for a complex, higher profile portfolio of accounts in accordance with established policies, practices, and procedures in a manner that will result in maximum sales, sound receivables, and the prompt conversion into cash with a minimum of past due balances and bad debt lost. #LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid

You will do this by:
  • Administering the credit granting function on new and existing customer for an assigned portfolio of domestic and/or complex international accounts with an emphasis on obtaining financial statement and performing ratio analysis to achieve objectives and goals
  • Analyzing customer credit profile within established guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Investigating risk utilizing credit bureau reports, financial statements and other current financial data necessary to make a credit limit decision or recommendation
  • Performing monthly portfolio risk assessment and and reports to business
  • Assisting manager with ad-hoc reporting and special projects
  • Training and mentoring less senior team members on an ongoing basis
  • Ensuring over limit requests are handled on time and in accordance with policy and review the weekly over limit report, working with the assigned Accounts Receivable (A/R) Analyst for resolution
  • Partnering with assigned A/R staff to achieve portfolio goals as related to the collection of accounts receivable.
  • Working to mitigate risk situations with collateral as appropriate and to reduce or eliminate bad debt risk
  • Keeping all key stakeholders, including Sales and Credit management informed of any problematic credit issues
  • Working with assigned A/R staff to recommend to management accounts for write-off or placement for collection

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of five years experience in the credit/collections field
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in manufacturing and B2B accounts receivable preferred
  • Proven ability to use finance and credit concepts including a thorough understanding of commercial/consumer credit law
  • Ability to consult with internal and external customers to resolve complaints
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse partners both internally and externally
  • Well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and demonstrated effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize without supervision
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
