Job summary

Clopay Corporation in Mason, Ohio, seeks a Credit Analyst to evaluate customer credit, set limits, and manage collections within a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Sales, DC and Plant teams to resolve disputes and enforce payment terms.

The role requires 3–5 years in Credit/Collections and a related 4-year degree; a candidate with relevant experience may offset the degree requirement. This on-site position offers growth within a large, American-owned company.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in related field such as Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Management preferred.
• Relevant experience may offset lack of degree, including collections work or work involving Mechanic's liens.
• Requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years successful experience in Credit/Collections work preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer credit worthiness and establish appropriate credit limits per authorized levels of authority.
• Utilize collection methods to motivate delinquent customers to pay past due balances; professionally communicate and enforce credit policy with customers.
• Monitor assigned accounts for shipment releases based on account status, company credit policy, and established terms of payment.
• Establish and maintain professional contact with internal personnel (Sales, DC and Plant) to escalate disputes for timely resolution.
• Notify internal personnel of information provided by customers pertaining to disputed invoices and balances.
• Initiate, subject to the Credit Director's approval, 3rd party collection actions, including mechanics lien notifications.
• Maintain documentation and notes regarding credit and collection activities.
• Provide timely status reports to Credit Director as required for Management reporting.
• Special projects as assigned.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Credit Analyst in our Mason Headquarters location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:
