Job summary

The Evangeline Bank and Trust Company in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Credit Analyst to evaluate loan requests, prepare credit memos, and support loan officers with financial analysis. You will report to the Sr.

Credit Analyst and Chief Credit Officer, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include gathering credit data, analyzing tax returns, financial statements, and cash flows, and presenting findings to loan committees.

Responsibilities

• Develop credit information for lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
• Investigate all sources of credit and financial information including reports, bureaus, other companies, and offices.
• Input Tax Returns, corporate and personal financial statements to create spreads and reports.
• Analyze Tax Returns, financial statements, and cash flows.
• Prepare summaries, present findings, and offer opinions on creditworthiness.
• Provide credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or agencies as requested.
• Ensure credit files are current with latest financial statements and reports.
• Adhere to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary:

Conducts credit inquiries and analyzes credit information relating to loans; assists in the preparation of, credit memos & reports for presentation to loan officers or Loan committees; furnishes information in relation to credit inquiries; provides support to loan officers. This position will report to the Sr. Credit Analyst and Chief Credit Officer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Developing credit information for use in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
• Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches.
• Input Tax Returns, Corporate & Personal Financial Statements, and other relevant financial data to create financial spreads and reports to develop trends and establish a customers’ repayment ability.
• Analyzes Tax Returns, financial statements, and Cash Flows.
• Prepares summary, presents findings, and occasionally offers opinions concerning creditworthiness.
• Providing credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or other agencies as requested.
• Ensures that all credit files are kept current with latest financial statements, agency reports, etc.
• Adheres to all bank policies and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Other duties related as assigned by management.
